An American Royal in London err Brit Isles

Last December I saw an interesting story about HRH Prince David Howe of the Isle of Man. The story is that David Howe, a businessman from Maryland, discovered his royal roots when genealogists from London -- working with Prince David supporters, contacted David Howe to tell him he was the heir to the ancient kingdom of the Isle of Man.

In addition to being the Isle of Man Crown Prince, David Howe is also a cousin of the Windsors and HM Queen Elizabeth II, the official head of state for the Isle of Man. As a result, David Howe's early supporters sent a petition to the Queen on his behalf. Soon after, HRH Prince David was crowned the de jure King of the Isle of Man.

Kind of like winning the lottery, Eh -- Long Live the King!
